Pronovias Show 2010 in Barcelona Spain

"A Princess Bride Couture Bridal Salon", just returned from a trip to Barcelona, Spain for the PRONOVIAS 2010 Show. Honored as a Premier PRONOVIAS Dealer, this is a very important trip for our Seattle/Bothell area store, to glean new information about the PRONOVIAS line. Once a year PRONOVIAS invites its stores to Barcelona, Spain in order to showcase all of the new styles from the PRONOVIAS, Manuel Mota, Valentino, La Sposa, and San Patrick collections. This year "A Princess Bride" was the only Washington State bridal salon at this event. That makes us all the more excited about their wedding dresses.

The entire PRONOVIAS team once again prepared a unique weekend to show the new 2010 Collections. Friday night they offered a formal dinner with a truly spectacular show featuring the world famous Cirque du Soleil. The formal dinner in honour of all the PRONOVIAS clients was held in the beautiful Catalunya National Art Museum. Then they had the customary and very entertaining party! This is where the owners and managers of over 450 international Bridal Salons from all over the world get to mingle and share stories about the past year.

Catwalk Presentation of the 2010 Collections

The great Catwalk presentation of the 2010 Collections took place on Saturday morning in the Palacio de Congresos of the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos 1. It showcased the 2010 collections of PRONOVIAS, Manuel Mota, Valentino and Elie Saab. After the show, the featured wedding dresses were displayed in the large showroom of the hotel so orders could be placed. Kathy is thrilled with the new season's dresses. PRONOVIAS has once again outdone themselves with their collection this year. We can't wait to get them all in the store so brides can select them for their special day.

Here are a few of the upcoming styles:

One of the highlights of the Chicago Market is the DEBI Awards at the Field Museum. What are they? DEBI stands for Distinctive Excellence in the Bridal Industry. The yearly event was hosted this year by Broadway star and Tony Award winner Tommy Tune. This is a black tie event. All of the "bridal people" look great! This year, our new line Paloma Blanca won the award of "Best in Show." And Sophia Tolli was nominated for "Best United States Designer" (see above pictures of Kathy with the designers). We're so excited for them both!

Including Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland, Tacoma, Everett and beyond! We really appreciate your vote that got us a place in the TOP 5! We’re so glad that we’ve been able to provide each of you with your own unique, wonderful wedding gown experience. It’s been more than a pleasure to work with all of you and take part in your journey towards your special day. Thank you for all of your support and wonderful comments!!

"I bought a wedding dress from there a year ago. They were really helpful and I had a wonderful experience working with them. I feel the Princess Bride Couture Salon is the best there is in the Northwest."
- Ligyaj

"I bought my wedding dress from The Princess Bride and couldn't be happier. The service I continue to receive there is outstanding. From Finding my perfect dress and veil with Denise out of so many beautiful choices to Wendy's flawless alterations. I would highly recommend The Princess Bride."
- SamanthaP

"This is a truly amazing store that carries designer labels for reasonable prices. It was my first and last stop for selecting my gown. Helen and Gail were extremely patient throughout the 30 something gowns I tried on. The whole experience was extremely fun and they were very informative and knowledgeable. I loved almost every gown I tried on, and in the end, it was a gown they picked for me that I would have never tried that was the one. I highly recommend this bridal boutique both for the fantastic service and terrific and extensive merchandise selection!!"
- Mindysl

"A friend of mine got her dress from Princess Bride and suggested that I call and ask for Denise. I did and had a wonderful experience! Besides finding the dress of my dreams, I was treated like Customer #1. My dress was within a reasonable price range and still beautiful. Thank you Princess Bride helping me find THE dress. I've never (and might never again!) felt so beautiful."
- Rlzupke

"I loved working with the Princess Bride. And it was a great that I found my dress at the store with the same name as my favorite childhood movie!!!!! Thanks Princess Bride!!"
– Lily05

"From the moment I walked in the door I knew that this was the bridal salon that would fulfill all of my wishes as a bride-to-be. Denise is amazing. Before I had a chance to look at myself in the mirror in my gorgeous gown, she had already styled my hair and found the perfect jewelry to complement it. Thank you Denise and staff! You deserve the "best of" honor. Thanks for making me one happy bride."

2Be Bride Gowns for Seattle Brides

New 2Be Bride Dresses are coming to Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue, Bothell area at A Princess Bride Couture. We went to a 2Be buying trip in Nashville, TN. The event was held in the historic Union Station Hotel, which we highly recommend! It is an old train station that has recently been remodeled. It boasts very unique furnishings and interiors that are absolutely gorgeous. The grand lobby displays beautiful architecture that is reminiscent of many travelers of years gone by. The Gown Show was held in the grand lobby. What a magnificent spot to display the new 2Be Bride dresses!

As you walk out of your room you can see all that is going on in the grand lobby. The room décor is updated with tiffany blue and espresso. Walk out the front door of this beautiful hotel and you’re right in the center of the many restaurants and music centers that Nashville is known for.

2Be Bride Wedding Gowns, our Exclusive line in Seattle/Eastside Area. The new dresses have started arriving and our 2Be Trunk Show is scheduled for September 13-14, 2008. Call 425.488.5558 for your appointment.

Pronovias in Barcelona

Pronovias Bridal Gowns in the magical city of Barcelona, Spain! Kathy (owner of Princess Bride) recently had the pleasure of going to the Pronovias Market. This year her brother Mark (owner of King’s Tux) accompanied her on the 8 day event. They stayed at the Princesa Sophia Hotel which is in the heart of the city. Despite all the scheduled events, they were able to squeeze in just a few minutes to see the Olympic Stadium and explore the city. Barcelona is a gorgeous city with Mediterranean views, boats, people, and grand hotels. It is so different from the U.S. and has no McDonalds, grocery stores or SUVs of any kind. What a fascinatingly beautiful city!!!

They enjoyed the fashion show with hundreds of designer gowns on the European runway. The dresses were then set up so they were accessible to touch and feel for the best buying choices. They were also able to view gowns designed by Valentino and Ellie Saab. The Gala Event, hosted by Swarovski Crystal, consisted of dinner for 1,000 guests with a show of vintage gowns designed by Ellie Saab. You can see why these gowns are so beautiful.
